Doctor Arquitecto (UPM 2001, UEM 2014) su investigación, Mencion Cum Laude, Doctor Europeus y expuesta en la XVI Bienal de Venecia, se centra en los requisitos de la ecología sobre el proyecto arquitectónico. Profesor Asociado la ETSAM UPM desde 2014, ha impartido clases y conferencias en otras universidades como Syracuse University, IE University, Budapest University of Technology, TU Munich, Nottingham University, TU Delft, Architectural Association, IUAV Venezia, Aalto University y Sapienza Universitá di Roma. Es miembro del ClusterLab Ateneo de la IUAV, y del programa de Doctorado en Estudios Transversales en Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la UPM. Contratado como experto por el Research Executive Agency para la evaluación de propuestas H2020, ha participado en proyectos europeos relacionados con la sostenibilidad financiados por agencias públicas como el EACEA Executive Agency, EASME, Intelligent Energy Europe, o COST European Cooperation in Science and Technology. Tambien es miembro de Comités Científicos de conferencias Internacionales como IFOU VIII, CONAMA XI o EURAU IV, y editoriales como Zarch, Hipótesis, REIA, JIU, CriticALL o JIDA. Con más de 30 publicaciones indexadas, destacan las realizadas en Constelaciones, Arquitectos, Journal of Digital Landscape Architecture, Zarch, Reia, Angulo Recto, Plea, AV proyectos y Pasajes de Arquitectura y Critica. Es con-fundador de COMBOlab, una oficina de investigación en arquitectura y ciudad, cuyo trabajo ha sido premiado en concursos nacionales e internacionales como IVIMA o EMV, Parco della Memoria o Europan 8, y ha sido nominado en el EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies Award (2011).
