Our House is on Fire // Argument #04 // Session 4
#OurHouseIsOnFire lecture series explores the design challenges and opportunities embedded in the climatic, resource and social crisis faced by the planet, in which architecture and cities are principal players.
Cities and buildings are no longer isolated objects, but nodes in networked material and social systems in continuous interaction among themselves. These interactions take place within the atmosphere, among living and non-living material systems and within society, establishing a set of relationships that need to be addressed from specific architectural and urban variables.
According to the nature of exchanges and the spatial and temporal scales involved, these interactions are divided in five spheres —metabolism, cycles, biodiversity, climate and obsolescence— which address a relevant set of realms to re-design the interactions between atmosphere, geo-biosphere and society.
La cuarta sesión del ciclo Argument#4: #OurHouseIsOnFire tendrá lugar el próximo miércoles 17 de marzo a las 19h.
Esta sesión se titula Extra-Terrestrial Architecture y contaremos en ella con Kiel Moe (McGill University) y con Roger Tudó (Harquitectes) quienes harán una exposición y mantendrán una conversación.
La sesión tendrá lugar en Zoom, en la sala de conferencias virtual de la Escuela, reunión: etsamupm268
