Carlos García Fernández

Carlos García Fernández es Doctor Arquitecto por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Máster por la Universidad de Columbia en Nueva York donde estudió como becario Fulbright y Arquitecto por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM).

Completó su formación como estudiante de intercambio en Holanda (TU Delf) y ha sido becario en la Academia de España en Roma, investigador visitante en Keio University en Tokio, y actualmente es Profesor Asociado del Departamento de Proyectos Arquitectónicos en la ETSAM.

Dirige, junto a Begoña de Abajo, el estudio “deAbajoGarcía” habiendo recibido, entre otros premios, el Detail Prize 2018 o el BMIA’19 por su obra “IMPLUVIUM”, un Centro Comunitario en Reinosa, Cantabria.

Carlos García Fernández

Carlos García Fernández holds a PhD in Architecture, a Master from Columbia University in New York where he studied as a Fulbright Fellow and he is Architect from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM). He also studied at TU Delft in Holland as an international student and he has been scholar at the Spanish Academy in Rome and visiting researcher at Keio University. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Architectural Projects Department at ETSAM.

He is the director, together with Begoña de Abajo, of the award-winning practice “deAbajoGarcia”. They have have been recognized, among other prizes, with the Detail Prize 2018 and the BMIA’19 for their work “IMPLUVIUM”, a Community Center in Reinosa, Cantabria.

Jiménez de Tejada Benavides, César

Arquitecto desde 1992, co-fundador de estudio_entresitio, con este ha recibido 73 premios internacionales, miembro de la escuela de arquitectura de la universidad politécnica de madrid (etsam) como profesor de proyectos arquitectonicos desde 2000, conferenciante y crítico, ha sido invitado en escuelas de arquitectura de varias universidades como cornell (ny), njit (nj), pennstate (pa), fau_pucp (lima), btu (berlín), tu/e (eindhoven), politécnico (bari), iuav (venecia). tutor del programa erasmus para estudiantes de intercambio en 15 universidades, entre las que se destacan escuelas de arquitectura de berlín, paris la villette, laussane, mendrisio, venecia, genova, florencia, syracusa, eindhoven.

Feduchi Canosa, Pedro

Pedro Feduchi es arquitecto y doctor (premio extraordinario 2007 UPM) y profesor ayudante doctor en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid.

Imparte la asignatura de Pro­yectos y colabora en el Máster de Proyectos Arquitec­tónicos Avanzados (MPAA) y con el Master de Comunicación Arquitectónica (MACA). Durante diez años impartió la asignatura de Diseño de Mobiliario como optativa del departamento una de las áreas de investigación en las que se ha especializado desde entonces (Le Corbusier, Eames, Wegner…). En este campo ha publicado también estudios sobre el montaje de exposiciones (Pabellón de España en la Expo de Bruselas 58). Su tesis doctoral sobre la Basílica de San Vicente de Ávila fue el resultado de otro de los temas en los que más ha investigado, el patrimonio histórico arquitectónico participando en la monografía sobre la Muralla de Ávila.

Además, ha impartido clases y conferencias sobre historia de la arquitectura y sobre diseño de mobiliario en diversas instituciones entre las que se encuentran el Instituto Arquitectura COAM, Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas, Istuto Italiano di Design, Elisava, Museu del Disseny de Barcelona entre otras.

Ha comisariado exposiciones de mobiliario como las que se hicieron en la Fundación COAM “Diseño de mobiliario en el Madrid de los 50” (2006) y de los 60 (2007) o “Gispen, precursor del Diseño Holandés” (2008), Darro Diseño y Arte 1959-1979 (2019) para el MDF (2017) y prepara una en estos días sobre H Muebles en el COAM (2020).

Ha sido presidente de la Asociación de Diseñadores de Madrid (DIMAD) entre los años 2012 al 2016 y ahora patrono de su Fundación donde organizó exposiciones y congresos relacionados con las actividades del diseño.

Entre sus últimas obras se encuentra la museografía del Mu­seo de la Rioja, el diseño de las áreas de descanso del Pala­cio de Cibeles o la rehabilitación del Edificio de la Comercial para la Universidad de Deusto en Bilbao.

Pedro Feduchi is an architect and Ph­_D (UPM Special Prize Thesis Award) and Ph_D Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture.

He teaches the subject of Projects and collaborates in the Master of Advanced Architectural Projects (MPAA) and with the Master of Architectural Communication (MACA). For ten years, he taught Furniture Design, one of the areas of research in which he has specialized since then (Le Corbusier, Eames, Wegner …). In this field, he has also published exhibitions designs (Spanish Pavilion Brussels Expo 58). His doctoral thesis on the Basilica of San Vicente de Ávila was the result of another of the subjects in which he is interested, the architectural historical heritage participating in the monograph on the Wall of Avila.

Also, he has taught and lectures on the history of architecture and furniture design in various institutions, including the COAM Architecture Institute, National Museum of Decorative Arts, Instituto Italiano di Design, Elisava, Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, ​​among others.

Over the course of his academic career, he has been involved in different congresses, curated expositions, plublished specialized articles, and has been awarded with several prizes. His work has been recognized with over thirty national and international prizes. The most recent Full Refurbishment of F.J. Sáenz de Oíza’s Castellana 81 Tower has been awarded with FAD 2019 Special Mention, 2019 Architecture Masterprize, 2019 NAN Award, 2019 Bigmat Finalist, 2018 COAM Award, 2018 ASPRIMA Award, 2017 Spanish Office Association (AEO) Best Refurbishment Award and 2017 DIGA Award.

García-German, Javier

Javier García-Germán (1974) is Professor of Architectural Design at the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) since 2007. He is module director both in the Master’s Degree in Collective Housing (MCH, ETH Zürich & UPM) and in the Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings (MAEB, IAAC, Barcelona).
Javier García-Germán studied architecture at the ETSAM (Final Design Thesis Honors, Premio Extraordinario Fin de Carrera 2002), the Oxford School of Architecture and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (Master in Design Studies 2004), where he was Fulbright Scholar. He received his Ph.D. in architecture —Thermodynamic Environments. A Critical Cartography on Energy, Architecture and Atmosphere— in ETSAM (2014).
In 2004 he founded TAAs —totem arquitectos asociados— an award-winning practice based in Madrid which explores the connections between climate, architecture and users. TAAs’ entries for EUROPAN international competition received awards in EUROPAN 6, 8 and 10 editions. TAAs’ work was exhibited in the XVI Biennale di Venezia (2018).
In addition Javier García-Germán has authored several articles in international periodicals (Quaderns, Bauwelt, 2G, etc.) and edited and authored several books on energy and architecture, among others Thermodynamic Interactions. An Architectural Exploration into Physiological, Material and Territorial Atmospheres (2017, ACTAR), which has received both the Pensamiento y Crítica FAD Award 2018 and the XIII BEAU Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial awards; and De lo Mecánico a lo Termodinámico (2010, Gustavo Gili); and Contextos 2008. Hacia un Nuevo Entorno Energético (2008, UCJC).

Sánchez Gónzalez, Ricardo

Ricardo Sánchez González es arquitecto por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid en 2003.
En 2005 gana, junto con José Ignacio Linazasoro, el 1ª premio en el concurso del Campus Universitario de Segovia.
En 2008, en solitario, obtiene el 1ª premio para la realización de un Hangar de Arte Joven en Miranda de Ebro, sala de exposiciones y centro docente que orbita en torno al arte.
En 2011 obtiene el 1ª premio para la realización de un bloque de 112 viviendas de protección oficial en Madrid.
Desde el 2011 trabaja como profesor de proyectos en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid.
En 2012 funda, junto con José Ignacio Linazasoro, la sociedad Linazasoro&Sánchez Arquitectura SLP, con sede en Madrid.
Dentro de esta colaboración, es galardonado con 1ª premio en los siguientes concursos:
En 2014 el concurso de la ordenación del ámbito de la Puerta del Sol de Madrid.
En 2015 el concurso de la rehabilitación y extensión del museo de Bellas Artes en Gran Canaria.
En 2011 el concurso de la extensión del Consejo del Bajo Rhin en Estrasburgo, Francia.
En 2012 el concurso para la Rehabilitación del edificio Zigherane en Rovereto, Italia.
En 2011 el concurso de la realización del aparcamiento subterráneo y accesos peatonales en Brescia, Italia.
En 2019 desarrolla la adecuación del Castillo del Cerrillo de los Moros en Navas del Rey, Madrid.
También ligado al mundo de los espacios públicos, gana en 2018 el concurso de la remodelación del entorno de la basílica de Notre-Dame-du-Port en Clermont-Ferrand, Francia y en 2019, el concurso de la remodelación del entorno de la basílica de Notre-Dame-des-Miracles en Mauriac, Francia.
En solitario, Ricardo Sánchez González ha sido galardonado con varios primeros premios:
En 2019 obtiene el 1ª premio para la realización de dos bloques de 205 viviendas y el 1ª premio para la construcción de un bloque de 80 viviendas de protección oficial en Madrid.
Además, en 2012 obtiene el 1ª premio para la realización de un bloque de 100 viviendas públicas en Madrid.
Su trabajo ha sido reconocido y publicado con conferencias y entregas de premios a nivel tanto nacional como internacional.

Martín fidalgo, Alvaro

Arquitecto y docente, actualmente es Profesor del Departamento de Proyectos Arquitectónicos de la ETSAM-UPM en Máster Habilitante, y ha sido Unit Master en la Architectural Association de Londres. Su formación como arquitecto (2008) se desarrolló entre España ETSAM y Holanda TU Delft y obtuvo el DEA (Diploma de Estudios Avanzados) por la UPM en 2012. Ha comisariado el ciclo de Conferencias del DPA Argument#1 “Sampling-Contexts” (2018) y ha sido invitado a impartir docencia en Universidades como el Politecnico de Milán en Italia, la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Coburgo en Alemania, la FCU de Taiwan o el IE School of Design.

Desde 2008 es co-director de la oficina madrileña SOF-T ‘Studio Ozaeta Fidalgo’, previamente TallerDE2,  junto con Arantza Ozaeta, también profesora del Departamento de Proyectos. Han ganado y construido concursos nacionales e internacionales, y su trabajo ha sido reconocido en múltiples ocasiones, incluyendo el premio COAM-Luis Moreno Mansilla (2013), como mejor trabajo realizado por arquitectos madrileños en el extranjero; el premio alemán Bauwelt-Preis (2013), a la mejor primera obra construida; el Premio FAD de Pensamiento y Crítica (2016), en colaboración con la editorial HipoTesis, y el Europe 40under40 (2017) por el European Centre. Architect and educator, he is currently a Professor of Architectural Projects at ETSA Madrid, and has been Unit Master Professor at the Architectural Association of London. He studied architecture at ETSAMadrid and TUDelft, graduated in 2008, and he obtained the DEA (Advanced Studies Diploma) at UPM in 2012. He co-curated the series of Conferences Argument#1 “Sampling-Contexts” (2018) from the DPA Architectural Design Department, and has been guest lecturer at Politecnico di Milano in Italy, Hochschule Coburg in Germany, FCU in Taiwan and the IE School of Design.

Since 2008 he is co-director of the Madrid’s office SOF-T ‘Studio Ozaeta Fidalgo’, previously named TallerDE2, together with Arantza Ozaeta, also teacher at DPA-ETSAM. They have won and realized national and international competitions, and their work has been recognized on multiple occasions, including the COAM-Luis Moreno Mansilla (2013), as the best work done by Madrid’s architect abroad; the German award Bauwelt-Preis (2013), to the best first constructed work; the FAD Award on Thought and Criticism (2016), in collaboration with the editorial Hipotesis, and the Europe 40under40 (2017) awarded from the European Centre. Ozaeta Cortazar, Arantza

Arquitecta y docente, actualmente es Profesora del Departamento de Proyectos Arquitectónicos de la ETSAM-UPM, ha sido Unit Master en la Architectural Association de Londres y Profesora en la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Coburgo en Alemania. Se formó como arquitecta en la ETSAM (2008), obtuvo el DEA (Diploma de Estudios Avanzados) por la UPM en 2012, y actualmente es Doctoranda en la misma Universidad. Ha sido invitada a impartir docencia de manera frecuente en Universidades como el Politecnico de Milán en Italia o el IE School of Design.
Desde 2008 es co-directora de la oficina madrileña SOF-T ‘Studio Ozaeta Fidalgo’, previamente TallerDE2, junto con Alvaro Martín Fidalgo, también profesor del Departamento de Proyectos. Han ganado y construido concursos nacionales e internacionales, y su trabajo ha sido reconocido en múltiples ocasiones, incluyendo el premio COAM-Luis Moreno Mansilla (2013), como mejor trabajo realizado por arquitectos madrileños en el extranjero; el premio alemán Bauwelt-Preis (2013), a la mejor primera obra construida; el Premio FAD de Pensamiento y Crítica (2016), en colaboración con la editorial HipoTesis, y el Europe 40under40 (2017) por el European Centre. Sergio Martín Blas es arquitecto, profesor ayudante doctor e investigador en proyectos arquitectónicos. Actualmente es el secretario académico del Programa de Doctorado del DPA (Proyectos Arquitectónicos Avanzados). Ha sido conferenciante e investigador visitante en las universidades IUAV, La Sapienza, UNR, UCSG, TU-Delft, TU-Berlín y Cooper Union de Nueva York; comisario de exposiciones impulsadas desde el grupo de investigación NuTAC como “I+D+VS: futuros de la vivienda social en 7 ciudades”, “Arquitectura de Vivienda Social en la Ciudad Iberoamericana” o “Arte en la Calle: Madrid 2000-2018”; investigador principal de los proyectos “Holanda en Madrid” y “Arte en la Calle”. Entre sus publicaciones en revistas internacionales destacan los artículos de investigación “Housing and Urban Form in Spain: Recent Experiences” (Lotus International, 148, 2011), “If… you can dream and not make dreams your master: la Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid” (DASH, 10, 2014) o “Robin Hood Gardens: casa e monumento” (Rassegna di architettura e urbanistica, 155, 2018). Su obra construida ha recibido reconocimientos como el Premio Gran de Area (COAG) y ha sido seleccionada en varias ocasiones como finalista de los premios FAD.

Sergio Martín Blas is a PhD architect, professor and researcher on architectural design. He is currently the academic secretary of the PhD Programme of the DPA (Advanced Architectural Design). He has been lecturer and visiting researcher at IUAV, La Sapienza, UNR, UCSG, TU Delft, TU Berlin and Cooper Union; curator of exhibitions related to the UPM NuTAC research group such as “I+D+VS: futuros de la vivienda social en 7 ciudades”, “Arquitectura de Vivienda Social en la Ciudad Iberoamericana” or “Arte en la Calle: Madrid 2000-2018”; lead investigator of the research projects “Holland in Madrid” and “Arte en la Calle”. Among his international publications are the research articles “El Pisito 2011: Housing and Urban Form in Spain” (Lotus International, 148, 2011), “If… you can dream and not make dreams your master: la Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid” (DASH, 10, 2014) or “Robin Hood Gardens: casa e monumento” (Rassegna di architettura e urbanistica, 155, 2018). His built works have received prizes like the Galicia Architects Association (COAG) Gran de Area prize and have been acknowledged several times as finalist for the FAD prizes.
